Tottenham Hotspurs have stunned the defending Champion Real Madrid, as home side managed to secure a spot in last 16 of UEFA Champions League after 3-1 victory.

It looks like nothing going well for holders of both La Liga and Champions League at the moment. They are off to their worst start in the Spanish league and that is also affecting their abilities in the Champions League.

Last week Zidane side suffered a humiliating 2-1 defeat against a newly promoted side Girona for the first time since 1990 and now they were crushed by young side [Tottenham].

Although that is not if for Real, as they still possess a great chance to make it to last 16 if they manage to win one game out of remaining two in the group.

Dele Alli was star of the evening for the hosts as he netted twice in the game while Christian Eriksen added insult to injury as the ended the hopes of Spanish giant with a wonderful counter attack.

The only goal came for Zidane’s side was from Ronaldo’s boot.

The Portuguese superstar bagged a late goal but it did little to improve his mood after Los Blancos’ second loss in a week following their shocker at Girona.

“It’s a bad time for us because we’re losing and we’re used to winning,” he told Football Espana.

“It’s a bad patch for us, but we want to change it and I’m sure we will. This is the beginning, we still have a lot of time to improve and I’m convinced that we will,” Ronaldo added.

“There’s been no harm done, but bad runs aren’t good and we have to change things,” the Portuguese added.
