Muharram processions: control room established to monitor security

On the directives of Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfikar Ali Mirza, CCPO Monitoring Cell/Control Room has been established at Central Police Office to monitor security arrangements regarding mourning processions and congregations during Muharram-ul-Haram. According to a statement here on Friday, the central control room would be functioning till 11th Muharram under the supervision of DIG rank officials.
From 8th Muharram, the in-charge of first shift would be DSP Muhammad Inam Khan, in the 2nd shift, DSP Muhammad Taufeeq Khan while DSP Dr Qamar Abbas Rizvi would be in-charge of 3rd shift. All these three officers will perform their duties till 11th Muharram in the same manner. Meanwhile, all the SPs of respective towns have been directed to apprise in-charges, about all the details, in the control rooms.
