NOFI rejected offers for 55,000 tonnes of wheat also sought for Mar. 15, 2012 delivery in the tender. Some 70,000 tonnes of US corn was purchased from trading house Mitsui at about $315 a tonne c&f for arrival by Mar. 15, 2012. A further 55,000 tonnes of optional-origin corn was bought from another trading house at $295 a tonne c&f for Mar. 31, 2012, delivery. Bids were rejected and no purchase made for up to 55,000 tonnes of corn for Feb.28, 2012, arrival, traders said.
