Faisalabad Dry Port Trust (FDPT) Chairman Sheikh Ashfaq Ahmed has felicitated the PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari on landslide vicotry in the Presidential election and taking oath as elected President of Pakistan.
Talking to newsmen here on Tuesday, he said that no doubt that PPP was the biggest political party of the country as overwhelming majority of the people are appreciative of the wise policies pursued by President Asif Ali Zardari. He expressed confidence that by exercising his God-gifted talent and capabilities, President Asif Ali Zardari will eradicate the problems being confronted by the common man.
He hoped that President Zardari will try his best to put the crisis-ridden trade and industry of the country on right track and take all possible measures to consolidate the federation of Pakistan with all of its federating units.
Ashfaq Ahmed said that Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto (Shaheed) had inaugurated the Faisalabad Dry Port on 14th April, 1994, and announced a full-fledged Custom Collectorate for Faisalabad which reflects her love and affection for Faisalabad.
Faisalabad Garment City Chairman Sheikh Mukhtar Ahmed has also congratulated Asif Ali Zardari on becoming new President of Pakistan. He appealed to President Asif Ali Zardari to focus his entire energies on boosting the exports and a Specil Relief Package to export-oriented industries in shape of subsidised and confessional rates of electricity and gas. He said that the textile industry of Pakistan needs special attention of the government as this sector contributes more than 60 percent revenue generation to government.
Former FDPT chairman Chaudhry Muhammad Siddique has also congratulated Asif Ali Zardari on his election of President. He hoped that President Asif Ali Zardari will solve the multiple problems being confronted by the trade and industry by formulating far-reaching policies.
City Nazim Rana Zahid Tausif congratulated Asif Ali Zardari on winning the presidential election. He said that new President could become hero by constructing new dams and eliminating the terrorism and controlling the skyrocketing prices of the essential commodities.
