Sindh Caretaker Information and Finance Minister Dewan Muhammad Yousuf Farooqi said that flour mills of Karachi were being provided 41,000 tonnes wheat after every 15 days, 20 percent above their allocated quota, says a press release.
In a statement on Tuesday, he directed organisations concerned to ensure provision of wheat flour at government rates in the city. "We are endeavouring to make available atta at Rs 16 per kg for the public," he added. Dewan Yousuf said there were over 70 flour mills in Karachi and every flour mill had been bound to set up two wheat flour stalls, one inside the mill and the other at the government's fixed point.-PR
