Rising trend was seen on the grain market on Saturday as most of the buyers continued buying on anticipation of the further rise in the rates, market players said. On the cereal side, wheat Bardan old gained Rs 30 to Rs 1270 and new type followed suit, picking up 15 to Rs 1285 due to strong demand, they said.
Bajra low type gained Rs 25 to Rs 1325 while the better type did not show any change at Rs 1400. On the rice sector, Irri-6 Sindh inferior type was up by Rs 10 to Rs 1620 while the other type maintained the overnight level at Rs 1400, they said.
On the seed side, cottonseed oilcake with bag low type gained Rs 50 to Rs 400 while the better type did not show any change at Rs 600, they said. Sugar low type gained Rs 100 to Rs 2700 and good type was up by Rs 25 to Rs 2750, they said. Other types maintained the overnight levels, they said.
