In the wake of the recent flood in Balochistan, Engineer-in-Chief Pakistan Army, Member (Monitoring) Planning Commission along with Member (Water) Wapda visited Mirani Dam Project and declared in their report submitted to the government that even at the unusual high inflow of 808,000 cusecs, the project behaved satisfactorily.
They stated that there was no threat to the integrity of critical components of the dam which consists of dam embankment, spillway and irrigation structure aqueduct. However, after the flood was over, the reservoir level has gone down to 244 feet.
