Punjab Information Technology Department has completed its pilot project of computerising the working of Transport Department under Motor Transport Management Information System (MTMIS) being launched on July 07, Saturday.
Punjab Minister for Information Technology Abdul Aleem Khan and Minister Transport Pir Ghulam Mohyuddin Chishti will be the chief guest. They will make the system functional by issuing the computerised route permits, on this occasion.
According to the details, MTMIS consists of Motor Vehicle Registration, Token Tax, Issuance of Route Permits, Driving Licenses and Issuance of Challan Forms.
Information Technology Department has prepared all the softwares and used its expertise in the computerisation of working of Transport Department. After Lahore, this system would later be introduced in other districts of the province, as well.
