Health Department of the City District Government Karachi (CDGK), on the directives of City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal, has launched fumigation and insecticide spray programme to avoid the chances of breeding of insects and to check the causes of dengue fever.
According to a press release issued here on Friday, the entire city will be sprayed daily during morning and evening timings. Till now the spray work has been done in various towns, including Gaddap, Keamari, Bin Qasim, Orangi, Lyari, North Karachi, Shah Faisal, Liaquatabad and Korangi.
During the last two days, a five-hour spray work was done in various parts of Saddar Town, including Empress Market, main Saddar area, Bolton Market, Methadar, Kharadar, Denso Hall Tower, Pakistan Chowk, Burns Road and other old city areas.
The City Nazim instructed the Health Department officials to carry out fumigation and insecticide spray drive in rural areas, Goths and commercial centres on priority basis.-PR
