Pakistan Steel (PS) on Friday raised prices of two of its products by Rs 4,500 per tonne in the wake of increasing international prices. PS has raised solar oil price by Rs 4,500 per tonne in the domestic market, raising its price to Rs 17,500 per tonne as compared to Rs 13,000 per tonne previously available in the local market.
In addition, the price of asphalt has also been gone up by Rs 4,500 per tonne to Rs 15,500 per tonne, as its price earlier tagged at Rs 11,000 per tonne. A PS spokesman said that the main reason behind the current price hike was to curb the illegal profitability by the dealers, which caused difficulties to customers.
