Indian troops martyr 18 Kashmiris in March

According to KMS, the killings rendered two women widowed and two children orphaned.

During the period, four hundred thirty people were injured due to the use of brute force and firing of bullets, pellets and teargas shells on peaceful protesters by Indian troops and police personnel. Eight hundred thirty one persons including Hurriyet leaders Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Muhammad Yasin Malik, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Umar Aadil Dar and other activists and youth were arrested.

The troops also damaged forty eight residential houses and molested nine women during the month.
