England’s Ali performs Umrah

Ali, a devout Muslim posted his pictures on the social media platform, the all-rounder opted out of Pakistan Super league (PSL) and Indian Premier League (PSL) for his religious duty.

He was picked by PSL’s Quetta Gladiators in replacement draft, as a replacement for West Indian T20 skipper Carlos Brathwaite.

The cricketer who reached Saudi Arabia after the West Indies tour shared his experience after posting  some pictures in front of the historic landmarks.

Earlier, the all-rounder talked about being a Muslim in the English cricket team, “I’d never go up to somebody and start preaching,” he said in an interview.

“But if somebody asks I’m willing to talk about it. Often, after people have seen me praying, they’ll ask and it’s a chance to show how normal prayer time is and why we do it, to teach people about the religion. Not to try to change them, but to explain.” He added.
