Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 123,168 tonnes cargo including 95,935 tonnes import, 27,233 tonnes export cargo and 4,162 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday. The cargo comprised of 83,770 tonnes dry cargo including 51,674 tonnes general cargo; 32,096 tonnes bulk cargo and 39,398 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Eight ships sailed out to sea during the report period. Six vessels are currently at the berths. Eight ships expected to sail on Thursday, while nine vessels are expected to sail on Friday. Six vessels due to arrive on Thursday, while eight ships are due to arrive on Friday.

The cargo comprised of 28,015 tonnes diesel oil; 13,279 tonnes edible oil; 16,583 tonnes iron ore; 4,364 tonnes canola seeds and 27,319 tonnes containerised cargo. Three ships namely C.V. Nedlloyed Oceania, C.V. Pacheco and C.V. ACX Mimosa sailed out to sea during last 24 hours.
A total of four ships namely Dubai, Delight Victoria, Captain George-L and Centurion carrying containers, diesel oil and iron ore are currently at the outer anchorage. Seven vessels viz C.V. Nedlloyed Oceania, C.V. Pacheco, C.V. ACX Mimosa, M.T. Gemini, M.T. Keefan, M.V. S D Glory and Hamburg Harmony are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, edible oil, diesel oil, canola seeds and iron ore respectively during the report period.
Container ship namely Dubai due to take berth at Container Terminal on Thursday. Two vessels viz M.T. Samho Heron and M.T. Oriental Miho with edible oil and chemicals due to arrive on Thursday, while three more ships namely C.V. Sima Pars, C.V. CV Cap Arkitas and C.V. MSC America are due to arrive on Friday.
