India's Sania Mirza and Shahar Peer of Israel were knocked out of the Wimbledon women's doubles on Wednesday losing 6-0, 6-7 (4/7), 6-1 to top seeds Samantha Stosur and Lisa Raymond. Mirza, a Muslim, had caused controversy with her decision to team-up with a Jewish player, but they shrugged off the criticism to win two rounds in the tournament.
The Indian star is still involved in Wimbledon as she is playing mixed doubles with compatriot Mahesh Bhupathi.
