Minister for Women Development and Youth Affairs Sumaira Malik has said Pakistan Muslim League (Q) would sweep the elections on performance basis. PML has put the country on the path of progress and prosperity during the last five years, she added.
She expressed these views addressing a public meeting in Union Council Bajar. Pakistan has acquired great importance in world due to the positive policies adopted by the present government. People should acknowledge the efforts of President Musharraf in empowering women, various reforms and successful foreign policy.
The leaders of Muslim League have fulfilled their promises, which they made to the people. For the consistency in policies and economic progress the government should be given another chance to serve the people for another couple of years.
Appreciating the government policies for initiating positive reforms for women empowerment, she added the society comprised 50 percent of women and without their active participation no country could acquire progress.
She also announced to set up a High School for girls in Union Council Bajar. Sumaira Malik said that inauguration of Sui gas project would be held soon.
She said that an amount of Rs 20 million has been provided for the provision of electricity to Bajar and other two adjacent Union Councils. Sumaira Malik said that brilliant students of Bajar and other Union Councils would be sent to other countries along with youth delegations, adding they would also be sent on scholarships for higher studies abroad.
