Gas supply to Quetta and other towns of Balochistan could not be restored as high flood in Bolan river prevented SSGC staff to start repairing of the damaged gas pipeline, Senior General Manager SSGC Azeem Siddiqui told APP on telephone, on Monday.
He said SSGC engineering team equipped with required equipment has reached to the site of the damaged gas pipeline and would start repair work as soon as water recedes in the river which is still high due to continuous rains in the area. The pipeline was damaged between Dhadar and Gokart in Bolan pass due to flash floods in river Bolan caused by heavy rains in the catchment area.
