Better late

Congratulations to the Karachiites for achieving some great relief as the government has taken a corrective and positive measure by availing Rangers' help to control the emergency like situation after the rains in the port city.
Besides, after the rains dug up roads become treacherous traps for motorcyclists and pedestrians and may cause road accidents. According to data of city hospitals, around 125 people, with serious and minor injuries related to motorcycle incidents, were brought to JPMC alone while a similar number of people were taken to other major hospitals during the last couple of days.
Under the worst situation created after the rains, to fulfil these duties on the dilapidated roads or streets are a very great job for the Rangers.
The noticeable thing is that Rangers were tackling the situation boldly and with great responsibility. Now the expectations are arising that the government may take some interest in the regular supplies of vegetable and fruits. These are very rare now in the markets. Particularly potatoes and tomatoes are available at some shops in poor quality and at high cost.
The reason is very obvious that the recent rains caused the delay in arrival of these products from upcountry or from the far-flung areas. It is hoped that both the provincial and federal governments will take notice and will try to solve the issue.
