Japan will provide a grant of US $63,564 (approximately Rs 4 million) to Sindh People's Welfare Trust (SPWT) for implementation of the Project, "Expansion of Bakhtwar Model School, Larkana, Sindh". The agreement for the project was signed in Islamabad between Japan's Ambassador Seiji Kojima and Sindh People's Welfare Trust Secretary Abdul Aziz Edhi.
The grant will be utilised for construction of classrooms and a computer laboratory and equipment purchase. At the signing ceremony, Kojima said that promotion of education is essential to development of human capital, which is indispensable for sustainable economic growth of Pakistan.
