Rouen grain exports at 211,231 tonnes

Grain exports from the French port of Rouen between June 1 and 20 totalled 211,231 tonnes, of which 171,582 tonnes of soft wheat and 39,649 tonnes of barley, officials said on Tuesday. That compares with 364,961 tonnes between June 1 and 21 last year when 340,048 tonnes of wheat and 24,913 tonnes of barley were exported.
Exports in the whole of June last year totalled 525,000 tonnes, comprising 495,000 tonnes of wheat and 30,000 tonnes of barley. Officials said three vessels were in port on Tuesday, loading 45,000 tonnes of wheat for Algeria, Morocco and Mauritius. Two other vessels were expected soon to load 20,000 tonnes of wheat for unspecified destinations.
