Punjab University will upgrade its medical facilities to provide better services to the retired and in-service employees of the University. This was stated by acting vice-chancellor University of the Punjab Professor Dr Arif Butt while visiting PU Health Center here at New Campus on Monday.
He visited and examined the machines at clinical laboratory, ultra sound room, Xray room, emergency ward, dispensary, pharmacy store, eye and dental units and advised the concerned staff to use these machines with care. He asked University Engineer to repair the roofs and ceiling fans immediately.
During his visit to the under construction emergency centre, he said that this emergency unit will work round the clock to meet any emergency. Chairing a meeting with the officials of the centre, the acting VC discussed the problems of the centre and directed the university engineer to complete the minor work of the centre within three days.
