Singapore's Neptune Orient Lines, the world's eighth-biggest container shipping firm, carried 11 percent more containers on its ships in the four weeks to June 1 compared with the same year-ago period.
Neptune Orient Lines (NOL) said in a statement on Monday that its shipping arm APL carried the equivalent of 178,300 40-foot containers on its ships in that period. The average revenue on each container carried by the state-controlled firm rose 2 percent to $2,618, from $2,556 in the same period a year ago.
