The lawyers' community observed the routine token strike here in the metropolis in protest against the suspension of Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and did not appear before the courts for one hour.
The lawyers bodies also held hunger strike camps in the bar premises. The political workers and leaders visited the camps and expressed their determination to support the lawyers' struggle for independence of judiciary and revival of Chief Justice Pakistan.
