The government has taken a serious notice of gram hoarding and decided not to lift ban on its export, Business Recorder learnt on Saturday. The government is taking the notice of gram hoarding activities quite seriously and would take strict action against those involved in such practices.
That is why it has decided not to lift ban on gram export said the sources in the Ministry of Food Agriculture and Livestock (Minfal). "If the government allows export of gram, its prices in the domestic market will increase more than ever before", he said.
A statement said that some unscrupulous elements are spreading rumours that the government is about to lift ban on gram export. This is not true as the government has no intention to do so at the cost of domestic consumer.
