BRIndex30 loses 164.2 points

On Friday, the BRIndex30 opened at 15,196.41, in the positive zone, but soon went into negative zone and remained there for the rest of the trading time, closing at 15,004.94 with a net negative change of -164.2 points and percentage change of -1.08.
It experienced intra-day high of 15,211.07 and low of 14,786.53. The volume amounted to 203,559,500 shares, which was 65.84 percent of market total and 88.09 percent of KSE-100 index. The volumes of KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 309,178,180 and 231,077,960 shares, respectively.
BR Cement Index was the most active sector. It closed at 1,920.06 with a net positive change of 21.54 points and percentage change of 1.13. The volume was 90,756,900 shares.
BR Commercial Banks Index was the second most active sector. It closed at 6,127.82 with a net negative change of -132.19 points and percentage change of -2.11. The turnover for this sector was 86,506,800 shares.
BR Tech. & Comm. Index was the third most active sector. It closed at 1,837.76 with a net downward change of -24.11 points and percentage change of -1.29. The volume of this sector was 29,501,100 shares. BR Oil and Gas Index closed at 2,190.13 with a net negative change of -23.19 points and percentage change of -1.05. The volume was 16,331,400 shares.
BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,522.60 with a downward change of -24.62 points and percentage change of -1.59. The turnover for this sector was 5,067,000 shares, which was the lowest among BR Indices.
