Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 113,699 tonnes cargo including 92,902 tonnes import, 20,797 tonnes export cargo and 4,362 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Thursday.
The cargo comprised of 79,711 tonnes dry cargo including 42,774 tonnes general cargo; 5,269 tonnes fertiliser; 22,690 tonnes coal; 8,978 tonnes cement; and 33,988 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Five ships namely Apl Sokhna, Scotland, Pacific Express, M.T. Swat and Pontonikis sailed out to sea during the report period.
Six vessels viz Dream Beauty, Harmony, Y M Energy, Corinthiakos, Hyundai Advance and Hartati are currently at the berths.
One ship namely Dream Beauty expected to sail on Thursday, while three vessels viz Y M Energy, Hyundai Advance and Al-Jaber 18 expected to sail on Friday. Seven vessels viz Sp 5-Eric G Gibson, CMA CGM Gardenia, Iran Tabatabaei, Mol Asante, Jon Jin 2, Winco Uno and Bright Ocean-2 are due to arrive on Friday.

The cargo comprised of 26,376 tonnes diesel oil; 5,055 tonnes edible oil; 12,012 tonnes iron ore; 3,752 tonnes cement and 21,165 tonnes containerised cargo. Three ships namely C.V. Inori, M.T. Pachico and M.T. Ariaden Jacob sailed out to sea during the report period, while one vessel viz M.V. Captain George-L is expected to sail on Thursday. A total of two ships namely Saudi Hofuf and Grigoroussa-I carrying containers and furnace oil are currently at the outer anchorage.
Six vessels viz M.V. Pacheco, C.V. Inori, M.V. Al-Mansourah, M.T. Doris, M.T. Ariaden Jacob and M.V. Captain George-L are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, edible oil, diesel oil and iron ore respectively during the report period.
Three ships namely C.V. Saudi Hofuf, C.V. London Senator and M.T. Grigoroussa-I due to take berths at Container Terminal and Fotco Terminal respectively on Thursday. Four vessels viz C.V. Sima Pars, C.V. MSC Zanzibar, C.V. MSC Aurora and M.T. Keefan are due to arrive on Thursday, while two more container ships namely C.V. CSAV Ningbo and C.V. Norfolk Express are due to arrive on Friday.
