Tunisia's state grains agency has purchased 117,000 tonnes of soft milling wheat and 92,000 tonnes of barley in a snap tender, European traders said on Thursday. Origin was optional but thought likely to be from the Black Sea region, Russia, Kazakhstan or the European Union.
The wheat was in four consignments of 25,000 tonnes and one of 17,000 tonnes for shipment between early July and late August. Prices were said to be between $271.17 and $276.99 a tonne c&f. Some traders said the highest wheat price was $280.99. The barley was in three consignments of 25,000 tonnes and one of 17,000 tonnes for shipment between mid July and mid August. Two barley consignments were bought at $272.99 and two at $269.99 a tonne c&f.
