Sindh Irrigation and Drainage Authority (Sida) Managing Director Muhammad Hashim Legari has said the government will set up committee for removing the problems between Sida and Irrigation Department officials.
He said it was necessary to complete timely the different projects of watercourses, sanitation work of canals and making of river banks from all over the Sindh. While addressing a press conference, he said the World Bank had issued Rs 110 billion for water sector improvement project, which was about to start in July.
He said the registration of 270 FOs had been completed and according to irrigation drainage management transfer agreement, the 158 branches of prefix canal and left bank canal had been handed over to FOs although the 17 branches of Ghotki feeder canal had been given to Abadgars.
