The Sindh Chief Secretary Shakeel Durrani has directed the authorities concerned to prepare a Master Plan for the restoration and renovation of the Dargah Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai (R.A).
Alongwith development of Bhitshah Town and establishment of Sindhi Folk Music Research Centre with up gradation of existing cultural center and to submit the PC-I within shortest possible time so that the project be implemented accordingly.
This he directed while presiding over a meeting to discuss and decide about the restoration of the shrine of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai in its original Bhitshah Town held at Bhitshah rest house today. The Zila Nazim Matiari Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Jamote, Provincial Secretary Culture Abdul Qadir Mangi, Provincial Secretary Auqaf Baz Muhammad Junejo, Provincial Secretary Mines Abdul Hameed Akhound, DG Culture Sindh Shams Jafrani, DG Auqaf Zahid Hussain Memon, Project Director Village Improvement Programme Shafique Paracha, DCO Matiari Dr Muhammad Usman Chachar and other officers from concerned departments attended the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, the Sindh Chief Secretary Shakeel Durrani directed the officers that this master plan must be consist of three sub-components one each for restoration of mazar of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai in its original position, establishment of Sindhi folk music Research Centre and up gradation of Bhitshah Cultural Centre and development of Bhitshah town for providing basic civic facilities to the inhabitants and devotees. He said that the execution of this master plan would directly be supervised through project steering committee, which would be headed by Chief Secretary or Additional Chief Secretary, government of Sindh with panel of experts, concerned Zila Nazim, DCO and other high officers of the related departments as members of the committee.
