City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has said the Site industrial area would soon get supply of 25mgd desalinated water. The city nazim said this while talking to a delegation, led by Zubair Motiwala, called on him in his office here on Wednesday.
The project with a 50mgd water treatment capacity was launched after a UAE firm provided 100 acre of land and co-operation of the private sector. The City District Government Karachi (CDGK) while investing Rs 4.5 billion on infrastructure in industrial area to resolve their problems for the next 25 years, was also planning to set up a water hydrants on town-level to ensure direct supply of water to fire tenders, the nazim said. Other members of the delegation included Imran Shaukat, Asif Siddiqui, Amin Bandoka, Sheraz Farooqui and Rauf Sattar.-PR
