The Federal Investigation Agency at Karachi Airport has arrested an alleged human trafficker, who was leaving for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) via Oman along with a woman and a child victim. Accused Rasheed Ahmed, the alleged human trafficker, was earlier arrested in Dubai on human trafficking charges.
Later, he was deported to Pakistan and blacklisted for entry into the UAE. "Rasheed took dozens of children to the UAE to sell them as underage child camel jockeys, but after the ban on child jockeys in the UAE, he started trafficking young girls to the Middle Eastern countries for sex exploitation and slavery", said advocate Ansar Burney in a release on Wednesday.
