Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 124,959 tonnes cargo including 114,589 tonnes import, 10,370 tonnes export cargo and 3,099 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Wednesday.
The cargo comprised of 64,959 tonnes dry cargo including 32,935 tonnes general cargo; 4,421 tonnes fertiliser; 23,380 tonnes coal; 4,223 tonnes cement; and 60,000 tonnes oil/liquid cargo. Five ships namely Mol Ability, China Star, Pontica, B Europa and Al-Wakra sailed out to sea during the report period.
Eight vessels viz Asian Queen, Effy N, Scotland, Conti Germany, Jiao Chang, Pacific Express, Al-Jaber 18 and M.T. Johar are currently at the berths. Four ships namely Pacific Express, M.T. Swat, Apl Sokhna and Scotland expected to sail on Wednesday, while five vessels viz Pontonica, Harmony, M.T. Johar, Conti Germany and Dream Beauty expected to sail on Thursday.
Six vessels viz Four Bay, Hartati, Harmony, Corinthiakos, Hyundai Advance and Dream Beauty due to arrive on Wednesday, while two ships namely Viscoya and CMA CGM Gardenia are due to arrive on Thursday. One ship namely Jon Jin 2 is due to arrive on Friday.

The cargo comprised of 23,532 tonnes diesel oil; 19,543 tonnes iron ore and 31,569 tonnes containerised cargo. Two container ships namely MSC Brianna and Nedlloyd Europa sailed out to sea during the report period, while oil tanker M.T. Ariaden Jacob is expected to sail on Wednesday.
A total of five ships namely Inori, Pachico, Saudi Hofuf, Grigoroussa-I and Doris carrying containers, furnace oil and edible oil are currently at the outer anchorage.
Five vessels viz C.V. Brianna, M.V. Al Mansorauh, C.V. Nedlloyd Europa, M.T. Ariaden Jacob and M.V. Captain George-L are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, diesel oil and iron ore respectively during the report period. Four ships namely C.V. Inori, C.V. Pachico, M.T. Doris and M.T. Grigoroussa-I due to take berths at Container Terminal, Multipurpose Terminal and Fotco Terminal respectively on Wednesday.
Two container vessels viz Sima Pars and MSC Zanzibar due to arrive on Wednesday, while three more ships namely C.V. London Senator, C.V. MSC Aurora and M.T. Keefan are due to arrive on Thursday.
