National Institute of Population Studies (NIPS) has completed Pakistan demographic health survey for 2006-07. NIPS Director Mahboob Sultan briefed Federal Minister for Population Welfare Chaudhry Shahbaz Hussain about the salient features of the survey here on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said the study in the form of data and analysis of selected indicators in the survey would provide a guideline to chalk out better policies for future.
He said a high-level meeting would be held in the Ministry soon, wherein the population departments of all the four provinces would be invited to review ongoing projects and for future planning in the light of said demographic survey.
