Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 124,074 tonnes cargo including 102,499 tonnes import, 21,575 tonnes export cargo and 5,071 containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Tuesday.
The cargo comprised of 88,352 tonnes dry cargo including 56,712 tonnes general cargo; 3,095 tonnes fertiliser; 1,275 tonnes iron scrap; 21,500 tonnes coal; 5,770 tonnes cement; and 35,722 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Six ships namely Tower Bridge, Gallant Wave, Oel Victory, Nordwoge, San Jiang Kou and Al Mansourah sailed out to sea during the report period. Six vessels viz China Star, Apl Sokhna, Mol Ability, Pontica, Al-Wakra and M.T. Swat are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely B Europa, Mol Ability and Al-Wakra expected to sail on Tuesday, while another vessel viz M.T. Swat is expected to sail on Wednesday. Six vessels viz M.T. Johar, Hartati, Jiao Chang, Asian Queen, Pacific Express and Al-Jaber 18 due to arrive on Tuesday, while seven ships namely Four Bay, Conti Germany, Hyundai Advance, Harmony, Y M Energy, Corinthiakos and Dream Beauty are due to arrive on Wednesday.

The cargo comprised of 27,445 tonnes diesel oil; 17,445 tonnes iron ore; 2,300 tonnes chemicals; and 49,827 tonnes containerised cargo. Three ships namely M.T. Yanaseni, M.T. Despina and C.V. Maersk Missouri sailed out to sea during the report period, while another container vessel viz Brianna is expected to sail on Tuesday.
A total of five ships namely Maersk Missouri, Grigoroussa-L, Doris, Captain George-L and Ariadne Jacob carrying containers, furnace oil, edible oil iron ore and diesel oil are currently at the outer anchorage.
Five vessels viz CV Brianna, C.V. Maersk Missouri, M.T. Yanaseni, M.T. Despnia and M.V. Captain George-L are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, chemifcals, diesel oil and iron ore respectively during last 24 hours.
Three ships namely C.V. Nedlloyd Europa, M.V. Al Mansorauh and M.T. Ariadne Jacob due to take berths at Container Terminal, Multipurpose Terminal and Fotco Terminal respectively on Tuesday. Container vessel Saudi Hofuf due to arrive on Tuesday, while four more container ships namely Sima Pars, Inori, Pacheco and MSC Zanzibar are due to arrive on Wednesday.
