On Monday, the BRIndex30 opened at 15,065.66, in the positive zone, and remained there for whole of the trading time, and closed at 15,178.28 points with a positive change of 186.62 points and percentage change of 1.24.
It experienced intra-day high of 15,213.50 and low of 15,044.35 with volume of 164,086,100 shares, which was 63.78 percent of market total and 88.81 percent of KSE-100 index. The volumes of KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 257,274,560 and 184,750,400 shares, respectively.
BR Cement Index was the most active sector. It closed at 1,874.18 with a net gain of 28.34 points and percentage change of 1.54. The turnover for this sector was 47,380,900 shares.
BR Commercial Banks Index was the second most active sector, with turnover of 45,888,800 shares. It closed at 6,158.00 with a positive change of 36.53 points and percentage change of 0.60. BR Oil and Gas Index was the third most active sector with a turnover of 33,756,300. It closed at 2,237.28 with a net positive change of 29.06 points and percentage change of 1.32.
BR Tech & Comm. Index closed at 1,834.85 with a net upward change of 21.61 points and percentage change of 1.19. The volume of this sector was 29,940,300 shares. BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 1,579.92 with an upward change of 9.48 points and percentage change of 0.60. The turnover for this sector was 16,677,500, which was the lowest among BR Indices.
