The National Industrial Relations Commission (NIRC) has stopped certain groups/people from observing strike and stated categorically that strike call given by them was unlawful. According to a PTCL release issued here on Saturday.
The court order reads as "After hearing the learned Counsel for the petitioner and after going through the contentions of petition prima facie it seems to be a case of unfair labour practice.
The respondents No 1 to 6 are directed not to do any act or dopt any measure that is attracted by Section 64 ibid inter alia including intimidation, coercion, pressure, threat etc for acceptance of demands. They also directed to adopt proper recourse under law if they have any grievance regarding infringement of their legal rights.
Therefore, they are directed to maintain industrial peace in the establishment and avoid taking any step that may cause disruption in any form in country. It is added the respondents No 1 to 6 and all other persons acting on their behalf will not do any thing, which is detrimental and injurious to public order such as observance of Black Day, taking out processions and hurling threats."
