Opposition demands release of activists

The provincial leaders of different opposition parties have warned government that they would launch a protest movement if government failed to release detained activists of different political parties by June 22.
This was stated by the President PPPP, Punjab Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Secretary General Chaudhry Ghulam Abbas, MMA Punjab President Liaquat Balouch and PML-N leader Khawaja Saad Rafique after their meeting with the IG Police Punjab in his office, here on Saturday.
'We have given clear message to the government to immediately release the detained political activists', said MMA leader Liaquat Balouch after the meeting. Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that they would not allow the government to target the innocent political activists.
