Unidentified bandits robbed Rs 1.6 million cash from a bank and gunned down two security guards on showing resistance and injured bank manager in limits of Ferozabad police station on Saturday.
According to SHO Ishtiaq Ghauri, six to eight bandits entered the building of Habib Metropolitan Bank situated at Khalid Bin Walid Road, Block-2 PECHS. They opened fire on security guards hired from a private security services company, killing them on the spot.
Later, the robbers opened fire on bank manager Abdul Qadir s/o Abdul Sattar, injuring him and took away Rs 15,90000 cash, and CCTV Unit. Bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC), where doctors pronounced them dead.
