A meeting between the representatives of Pakistan Broadcasting Association (PBA), the government and Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) expected to be held next week. Today's meeting was postponed on the request of PBA members.
The meeting was to deliberate upon the proposed 'Code of Conduct' for private broadcasters, submitted by PBA to the government and Pemra, says a Pemra press release here on Saturday. The first draft of recommendations from PBA was forwarded to the government and the Pemra for finalising the Code of Conduct. The meeting was postponed following request by PBA members as they wanted to come up with more precise recommendations on the subject, it says.
