The Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation (PTDC) on Friday launched luxury air-conditioned coach service from Islamabad to Naran valley, a fascinating tourist attraction spot in NWFP that attracts thousands of tourists both foreign and local through out the year.
Two buses will be operated daily, one each from Islamabad to Naran and from Naran to Islamabad. Managing Director PTDC, Salman Javed inaugurated the bus service, which left for Naran with over 23 tourists including media persons and students on board.
The tourists would be familiarised with the area that suffered huge losses, both precious human lives and infrastructure, in the wake of devastating tremor on October 8, 2005. "The visit aimed at letting the people know that tourism is back in the region with full charm," said MD PTDC.
