The government has released special development funds to district government of Rs 3 billion for uplift of the bordering areas of Chawinda and Pasrur along the Working Boundary. Federal Minister for Investment and Privatisation Zahid Hamid disclosed this while talking to the newsmen at Pasrur, here.
Unveiling the border areas' development package, federal minister said that the government would soon establish four new degree colleges, three inter colleges in Pasrur's bordering areas, besides, upgrading more than 100 government educational institutions, establishing one stadium and making Pasrur tehsil's 85 for off villages as model villages.
Zahid Hamid said that under this project, drainage schemes would be completed in 81 villages while 250-kilo meters long different roads would also be widened and constructed in Pasrur tehsil's bordering areas.
He said that vocational training institution, sewerage schemes, street lights instalments, workers welfare schools for boys and girls and a social security hospital would also soon be established at Chawinda, besides, upgrading the local rural health centre.
Federal minister said that the provincial and district governments were taking keen interest in the uplift of the Pasrur tehsil's bordering areas, besides, provision of the basic facilities including quality education, health, medical and infrastructure in these areas.
