Senior counsels for Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry, Hamid Khan and Ali Ahmad Kurd have dispelled the impression that there might be a deal between the Referring Authority (President) and the CJP outside the court.
Addressing a news conference at the Press Association Supreme Court office here on Thursday, they said that the Chief Justice had categorically told them that there would be no deal out of the court and he wanted his petition to be decided by the Full Supreme Court. They announced that the Chief Justice would go to Faisalabad in a motorcade at the invitation of the District Bar Association to address the legal fraternity.
The entourage of the Chief Justice would make a brief stop over at Chakwal where he would address the District Bar association. They clarified that final dates of Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry's visit to Karachi have not yet been finalised.
