Japan's Agriculture Ministry bought a total of 65,000 tonnes of milling wheat from the United States, Canada and Australia at a weekly tender, ministry officials said on Thursday. All shipments are scheduled to take place in August. The purchased amount fell short of a tender plan of a total 110,000 tonnes that the ministry had announced.
The cancellations were one cargo from the United States for 8,000 tonnes of Hard Red Winter and 17,000 tonnes of Dark Northern Spring, and another cargo for 20,000 tonnes of Canadian Western Amber Durum.
