Witribe and Huawei to bring 4.5G LTE sevices to Pakistan

4.5G LTE-A internet service will be soon launched by Wi-Tribe in June 2017. It is said to be operational in five major cities of Pakistan namely, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Faislabad and Karachi.

The advanced development was announced after Wi-Tribe and Huawei joined hands by signing a $15 million contract and will continue to operate in cities where Wi-Tribe currently operates.

The company that was launched in 2009, will offer services of 100Mbps per connection and will raise upto 200 Mbps by 2018 and eventually to 400Mbps by 2019, as local media reported.

The service will initially be tested at the Islamabad Head Office and will then be available in the respected cities.

The servies would include unparalleled wireless internet services, great deals on flexible add-ons, smart payment solutions, and my wi-tribe; a personal self-help portal enabling single click add-on purchases at the customers convenience.

Within six months time, over 1 Million households will have access to the fastest wireless home broadband service in Pakistan using the most advanced technology currently available anywhere in the world, quoted Shahid Malik, Wi-Tribe Supervisory Board and Former UK Government Minister.

Malik continued, In practice, this will mean a revolution in terms of the amount of data Wi-tribe can offer its customers, but more importantly, it will mean lightening speeds of up to 100 Mbps for a single user household.
