Afghan gang held involved in murder, dacoities

ISLAMABAD: Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police has arrested ring leader of a dangerous Afghan gang involved in killing persons during dacoities and recovered 30 bore pistol from him, a police spokesman said.

A team of CIA headed by DSP CIA Bashir Ahmed Noon succeeded to arrest ring leader of Afghan gang involved in several crime incidents.

He has been identified as Ghulam Sadiq alias Ghulam Khan Ghulama resident of Jalalabad Afghanistan and police also recovered 30 bore pistol and five rounds from him.

During preliminary investigation, he has confessed to kill Saqib Rehman in an attempt to snatch purse from him at I-10 Markaz Park on April 27, 2013.

He along with his other accomplices remained also involved in several dacoities and firing incidents in areas of Sabzi Mandi, Industrial Area police stations.

Further investigation is underway from him and special police teams have been constituted to ensure arrest of his other accomplices.
