Veteran nationalist politician and leader of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) Abdul Wahid Ariser on Sunday said that the agencies trapped the MQM and involved it in the May 12 mayhem in Karachi.
Addressing a press conference here, he said that fight between Urdu and Pushto speaking people on the issue of ownership of Karachi was futile, as only Sindhis were the real owners of Karachi.
He said considering Urdu-speaking people as the orphans of history thrown in the lap of Sindh, JSQM feels that they are closer to Sindh and Sindhis than Pathans who have their land and province.
Ariser noted that MQM when out of power supported issues of Sindh but when it joined the government it adopted anti-Sindh policies and has serve interests of Punjab. He said after joining present government, MQM instead of being an ally of JSQM, adopted attitude of a conqueror of Sindh.
He said that linking private services in Karachi to condition of Karachi domicile, the MQM made this city a no-go area for Sindhi speaking people. He said at present MQM holds home ministry of Sindh, but it failed to improve law and order in the province.
