PTI now praising ECP after a decision in its favour: Tariq

ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr. Tariq Fazal Thursday said Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leadership was praising today the same Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to which they had been maligning in the past.

They have maligned every institution of the country and used derogatory language against them, he said talking to a private news channel.

He said PTI chief Imran Khan was declaring decision of ECP regarding his assets as victory only because the decision was in his favour.

The minister said there had been clear difference in statements of PTI chief Imran Khan regarding his assets and PTI leadership was unable to give satisfactory answer on that.

Tariq Fazal said Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) had full trust and respect for the judiciary and other state institutions.

The PML-N had accepted the decisions of the courts as well as of ECP, he said.

He said it was also expected that like this decision, PTI would also accept other decisions of the courts and would not malign them in future.
