According to PCG on a tip off that the smugglers operating in the coastal areas of Balochistan and Sindh provinces, the PCG force led by Commander chased the criminals at coastal areas of Gawadar. On Coastal highway near Naliant area they chased a car. The smugglers on seen the PCG squad escaped on nearby mountainous areas leaving behind their car.
The PCG on search of the vehicle recovered 170 kilogrammes opium/Charras from hidden cavaties of the car. The market value of the captured narcotics is stated to be Rs 270 million.
In another operation, the PCG officials said that they had recovered one bag laying in the bushes at Gharo near Thatta district of Sindh province and seized 4 kilograms Hashish, the market value said to be around Rs 40 million stated.
The PCG initiated further investigation in this connection, while Director General Pakistan Coast Guard Brigadier Attiq-u-Rehman has appreciated the services of cops and also announced cash award.
