Zubair asks US investors to invest in metropolis

KARACHI: The Governor of Sindh, Muhammad Zubair, has asked the American investors to come up with investment in the metropolis.

He was talking to the US Consul General in Karachi, Ms. Grace W. Shelton, on Wednesday, says a statement issued from the Governor House here.

The Governor pointed out that after the restoration of law and order, quite a number of foreign investors have exhibited interest to invest.

He stated that the sectors including energy, agriculture, infrastructure development etc are conducive for investment.

Muhammad Zubair said that Pak-US bilateral ties are in the larger interest of the region and inspite of ups and downs in the relations at times, both the countries are natural allies.

He pointed out that in the province of Sindh, the USAID Programme proving effective for the poors especially in the realms of health and education.

The Governor said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would result in a new era of economic development.

He stated that the desire on the part of various countries to participate in the CPEC has enhanced its significance.

The US Consul General said that Pakistan is emerging as a peaceful country. The economic development in the time ahead would help overcome poverty and unemployment.

She stated that the US investors are interested for investment in Sindh especially in Karachi.
