KARACHI: Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) 100 index closed higher on Thursday having 49908.15 points with a positive change of 33.19 and volume of 245,848,220 shares.

High and Low were 50196.83 and 49784.33 respectively. Total volume traded in the market was 538,907,660 shares with 417 total traded companies out of which 174 were up 218 were down and 25 were unchanged.

CEMENT was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 84,277,250 shares. It was followed by ENGINEERING with a total traded volume of 80,074,400 shares.

The three top traded companies were Power Cement Ltd. with a volume of 36,671,500 and price per share of 17.99 (0.74), Dost Steels Ltd. with a volume 35,350,500 of price per share of 15.98 (0.35), Aisha Steel Mill with a volume 34,598,500of price per share of 27.03 (0.42).

The top three advancers were Colgate Palmolive with price per share 1994.13 (94.13), Wyeth Pak Ltd with price per share of 4432.50 (72.80) and Khyber Tobacco share of 997.50 (47.50).

The top three decliners were Bata (Pak) with price per share of 4120.00 (174.00), Rafhan Maize with price per share of 7506.00 (113.00) and Nestle Pakistan share of 9000.00 (99.99).
