The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Jamaat-i-Islami, Jamiat-Ulema-i-Islam, Jamiat-i-Ulema-i-Pakistan and other parties took out separate rallies to mark the day.
The PML-N's local leader Hanif Siddiqui who led his party's rally condemned the continued Indian occupation of Kashmir and atrocities being meted out by the Indian forces to the innocent people of the valley.
He expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people and assured them that Pakistani people would stand in their support as they strive to win freedom for their motherland.
In the rallies the participants demanded of the international community to force India to comply with the United Nation's resolution which called the country to conduct a plebiscite in the Indian occupied Kashmir.
On the occasion, many rallied burnt the Indian national flags and effigies of Indian prime minister Narendra Modi.
